Volunteer Terms & Conditions

1.1 At-Will Participation:

Volunteering at JumpLite Tech is at-will and unpaid. Either the volunteer or the Organization may terminate the relationship at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

1.2 Non-Employment Relationship:

Volunteers are not considered employees of JumpLite Tech and are not entitled to wages, benefits, or worker's compensation under California labor laws.

2.1 Age Requirements:

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Minors under 18 must provide signed parental/guardian consent prior to participating in volunteer activities.

2.2 Background Check:

Volunteers working directly with vulnerable populations (e.g., children, seniors) may be required to undergo a background check in compliance with California law.

3.1 Conduct:

Volunteers must uphold the mission and values of JumpLite Tech by:

• Treating all individuals with respect and professionalism.
• Refraining from discrimination, harassing, or illegal behavior.

3.2 Commitment:

Volunteers agree to fulfill assigned responsibilities and notify the Organization in advance if unable to meet their commitments.

3.3 Confidentiality:

Volunteers must maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information, including personal data of participants, donors, or other volunteers.

3.4 Use of Property:

Volunteers must use the Organization's equipment, tools, and resources responsibly and return any borrowed items promptly.

4.1 Safety Guidelines:

Volunteers must adhere to safety instructions and protocols provided by the Organization. JumpLite Tech complies with California Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) regulations to provide a safe environment.

4.2 Assumption of Risk:

By volunteering, individuals acknowledge and accept any risks associated with their activities, including travel to and from the volunteer site.

4.3 Liability Waiver:

JumpLite Tech is not liable for injuries, damages, or losses incurred during volunteer activities, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct by the Organization.

5.1 Photography and Videography:

Volunteers consent to the use of their photographs, videos, or testimonials for promotional purposes unless they opt out in writing.

6.1 Grounds for Termination:

Volunteers may be terminated for the following reasons:

• Violating organizational policies or California laws.
• Engaging in behavior that jeopardizes the safety or reputation of JumpLite Tech.
• Failing to perform assigned responsibilities without reasonable notice.

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable local ordinances in Los Angeles County, including Santa Clarita.

JumpLite Tech reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Volunteers will be notified of any changes.
